Actions

We ask our kids to control themselves,
but we as adults don't.
We ask our kids to pick up after themselves,
but we as adults, don't.
We ask our kids to not watch TV,
but we as adults, do.
We ask our kids to be kind to each other,
yet they hear us fighting and picking on the children.
We ask our kids not to be lazy,
but spend half the day doing nothing.
We ask our kids not to gossip,
but we as adults do it every day
(Prayer requests!)
We ask our kids to have integrity,
but we as adults, feel entitled to calling in "sick" when we are not.
We ask our kids to make their beds,
when we as adults do not.
We ask our kids to eat all their veggies,
when we as adults do not.
We ask our kids to stop eating candy,
when we as adults live on it.
We ask our kids to stop cursing,
when we as adults, chose to do it.
Is it a wonder that they are confused?
Is it a wonder that they do what they do?
They ARE mini-ME's!!
Be careful little eyes what you see.
Be careful little ears what you hear.
Be careful little mouth what you say.
Not for the children.
For the adults.
Shame on us for compromising "Just because we grew up"!
Shame on us for teaching our children how to be poor in character.
For a RAD kid, words mean NOTHING.
Action is everything.
Stop telling.
Start DOING.
