AT Appreciation Week
JULY 4th-8th, 2011
What???? You've never heard of "Attachment Therapist Appreciation Week????" It's not on your calendar... you say???? Well... you better get out your pen and mark these dates on your calendar right now because this is a "VERY IMPORTANT" holiday.
Attachment Therapist Appreciation Week is celebrated on the first full week of July. How do I know this??? Well... that's because I invented it! : ) Isn't that how Hallmark does it???
Why.... you ask???? Well... WHY NOT???? If we can celebrate "Teacher Appreciation Week"... and "Secretary's Day"... why can't we celebrate "Attachment Therapist Appreciation Week?" Somebody has to invent these holidays... right???
Well... let it be known that on this day... May 29th, 2003... at 1:36 AM... Suzanne at "The Little Prince Website" has declared the first full week of July as being "Attachment Therapist Appreciation Week." If any of you happen to have any ties with Hallmark... you may want to call them right away so they can get started printing out those cards for us.
What do you mean there aren't enough RAD kids in this world to declare this an actual holiday??? Unfortuately, by checking the site stats on this website... I'm going to have to disagree with you there. What do you mean I can't just pick out a week on the calendar and declare it a holiday without okaying it with somebody much higher up than myself??? I already did!!! : )
Well... maybe it won't ever get printed on the calendars, or advertised on the radio... and maybe Hallmark won't ever print out cards for us... but... I... Suzanne... am still going to step really far out on a limb and declare this a special holiday through "The Little Prince" website.
So... all of you appreciative RAD parents out there... please mark these dates down on your calendar today, and be sure to take the time to let your child's Attachment Therapist know that they are greatly appreciated. Send him or her a handwritten letter of thanks... reward them with a balloon bouquet... flowers... a big box of candy... or maybe even a gift certificate to a really nice restaurant. I think it's time that Attachment Therapists get the recognition that they truly deserve... and it'll just be our little way of saying, "I'm sorry for all of those bruises my child has put on your body this past year."
