Letter to Decline an IEP Meeting : Template Letter

May 12, 2006

Dear (Teacher's Name),

I received a letter on May 11, 2006, advising me that an IEP meeting had been scheduled for May, 14, 2006 at 10:00 AM.

I regret that I am unable to attend this IEP meeting, and I am writing to let you know that you will need to reschedule it again. I hope that this request does not inconvenience the team members, but I cannot take the time off work with such short notice, and I had already informed the school secretary that I would only be available on May 15th or 16th after 2:00 PM.

If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my cell phone at (555-5555) and I will return your call as soon as possible.   I look forward to meeting with you on one of the above mentioned dates.

Sincerely,

______________
Mr. RAD Dad
