If I had been your Mama
And you had been my babe
Life would have been much different
You would have been so safe
I wouldn't have ignored you
Or left you there to cry
I would have held you all the time
And rocked you bye and bye
I would have kissed your little nose
And kissed your precious face
I'd tickle all your little toes
And every tickly place
We would have played, "This Little Piggy"
"Patty Cake" and "Peek-a boo"
I'd have fed you in your high chair
Like most of the mommies do
I would have watched you grow each day
And watched you learn to walk
I would have been so happy
To finally hear you talk
Everyday could have been
So special and so sweet
If I'd have been your Mama then
Life would have been complete
But here we are years later
And you're a grown up boy
Today I am your Mama
You bring me so much joy
