And it speaks soooooooooo loudly to me about my child…
and about your children….
About ALL OF US!!!!!!!!
We ARE The World…….
We ARE The Children ……
And we do need to keep on giving……..
Giving our love…….
Giving our time…….
Giving our patience……..
Giving with all that we’ve got left inside of us….. to give.
We’re all making choices here…..
Choices for ourselves….
and choices for our children….
And Nancy Thomas may be right when she says that LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH…
But we still have to raise these children… WITH LOVE!!!!!!!!!
No matter how crazy our CRAZY lives might get….
No matter how badly these kids fight….
No matter how much they spit on us…
and hit us…
and bite us…
and pee on us…
and try to push us away…
We have to keep trying to save them!!!!!!!!
No matter what you think… or feel…
No matter what people tell you…
LOVING THEM and NOT GIVING UP….
That’s the only key to this horrible RAD LIFE puzzle.
We are THEIR WORLD……
We’re all they’ve got!!!!!!!!!
So we can’t give up on them..
We just can’t!!!!
And no…. we can’t do this alone…….
So… we need to find a way to come together AS ONE…..
To save our own lives…..
So that we can all survive this great war together….
And YES… it is a A WAR!!!!!!!!!! : (
And, for many of these children…….
This war began with their birthparents…..
Which probably began with their birthparents…..
THE CYCLE!!!!!!!!!!
A long ugly horribly painful cycle…..
And it’s just going to keep going on and on and on…….
If we don’t do something to stop it.
There are children and families dying…….
Everywhere!!!!!!!!
Not just in Africa, people!!!!!!!!!!
Many of us are right here in the good ol’ USA…
They’re in my house….
They’re in your house…
THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!
Good families……
families who have adopted these extremely hurt children…
families who just wanted to save a child…..
love a child…
just really wanted to give a child a better life…
AND THEY’RE DYING!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been over here trying to save my son since May 10, 1995……
And I haven’t given up.
I’ve been here for all of you since September 4, 2002…..
And I haven’t given up.
Some days I am sooooooooooooooo emotionally tired……
And I feel sooooooooooooo terribly STUCK and ALONE….
But I still have my dreams!!!!!!!!
And I’ve been over here talking to God a lot more lately…
Asking Him to please show me how to turn stone into bread…..
For all of us!!!!!!!!!
And His message is always the same……
As tired as we are…….
As stressed as we are…….
WE have to start saving our own lives!!!!!!!!!!
We have to come together as one…..
Because WE KNOW…..
We know what we need………
We know what our children need……
So… it has to start with us...
But we are just soooooooooooooo damned tired!!!!!!!!!
How are we going to do this?
Someone please tell me what the answer is………
