What is TLP Wishes?
TLP Wishes is an online bulletin board of hope for struggling RAD families. It is a place for RAD families to reach out and ask for help... for themselves and for their children. A place for friends, family, therapists. school staff, or anyone to reach out and ask for help for a RAD family who might not otherwise approach us to ask for help. A place for strangers to reach out and do something to help make this world a better place for RAD families. Please note that TLP Wishes is NOT a non-profit organization. TLP Wishes is merely "A GIFT" to RAD families who are struggling to reach their children. Families who are in desperate need of help and have nowhere else to turn. Families who might not be able to provide their children with the services that they need, if it weren't for generous people like you. Families who sometimes just need a little help, a little surprise, or a little boost to help restore their faith in human kindness and to help keep them moving in the right direction.
Our Beliefs
Although RAD families may differ in many ways, we believe that
our hopes and dreams for our children and families are quite universal:
*To prevent the breakdown of the family unit.
*To prevent the need for out-of-home placements for children.
*To prevent broken or disrupted adoptions.
*To promote and encourage strong, safe, and permanent families.
How Does This Work?
This is really a very simple process. RAD families who are in need of help are asked to fill out an Online Application for Help and submit it to TLP Wishes. All applications will be considered for posting here on our bulletin board, but please note that special consideration will go to the requests being made by TLP parents. Parents who frequently post on the TLP Message Board and are regularly here asking for help, support and advice from other RAD parents. Parents who we know are truly fighting to save a child, and to keep their families intact.
So… how is this small bulletin board going to make a difference in this huge world of RAD ? Well, I believe that TLP Wishes will make a huge difference in the lives of many RAD families because of caring people like you. People who strongly believe in doing something to help out struggling children and families. People like you, who are willing to reach out to others who are less fortunate than themselves. People like you, who believe that everyone has the power to change the world, just one good deed at a time. A mother of two RAD children is asking for some help in obtaining some essential oil samples to experiment with in her home. They are currently struggling with therapy, and have been trying medications without success. This mother of five feels that ALL of her children might benefit from using these oils, based on what she has been reading on the TLP Message Board; and was hoping that someone might be kind enough to donate a few starter oils for her family to begin playing with.

An adoptive parent of a RAD child has contacted TLP Wishes to ask for some used books about Reactive Attachment Disorder. If you happen to have any good RAD books laying around that you are no longer reading, please consider dusting them off and donating them to this parent.
